What's the best file format to submit for my print job?

We ask for PDF files wherever possible. Specifically, the 'PDF/x-4' preset is the most appropriate for digital printing. To learn a LOT more about prepress file formatting and best practices, visit https://www.prepressure.com/pdf/basics/pdfx-4p

Can you print from a jpeg file?

While we can print from a jpeg, it's not a file format that is designed for high quality printing. This is mainly because of it's usually fairly high compression. It's what is known as a 'lossy' file format, which means it compresses the file so much that information is lost. Wikipedia has a pretty good article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JPEG

How large can you print?

As large as you want!
We can create printed graphics virtually any size, by sewing banner panels together, or vinyl installations with overlapping seams. Our largest single-sheet size, with no seams, is currently ~62"x3600".

What are your sandwich board options?

We stock two types of sandwich board – 10mm PVC board (24”x32” or 18.75”x23.5”) and a black steel A-frames with 24”x36” inserts.

However, we can bring in unique hardware or create all sorts of custom street signs. Get in touch with us about your needs and we'll make it happen.

Am I limited to a specific size or shape of label?

The short answer is no. However, depending on the application and the quantity you after, there are different processes to consider. Larger orders of uniquely shaped labels may require the creation of a die, whereas smaller runs we kiss-cut on our wide format printers. Get in touch and let's chat.

What should I consider when designing a tent card?

Your design should be bright and concise, do not fill it with too much information or your will not achieve your desired effect.

What is the most common type of brochure?

The most typical fold for a brochure is a 'roll' fold. We can also 'z' , and 'gate' fold.

Do you print full colour tickets, or are they only available in black and white?

Thermal type tickets are black and white, but we can also create full colour printed tickets as well.

What are banners made of?

Banners are typically made of vinyl! We carry myriad different grades of vinyl scrim banner in stock, for all sorts of different applications. If you let us know what you want the banner for, and for how long you will need it, we can recommend the best product for your needs.

Will my banner stand come with all of the necessary hardware and carrying case?

Yes, all of our retractable banner stands come with all of the necessary hardware and cases.

Can I have a solid colour spine on my booklet?

You bet. If we feel that there is a chance for cracking we will crease the cover ahead of binding to minimize that issue.

Do I need to provide you printers spreads or single sheets ?

We prefer you send us your files with bleed as a single page PDF. We'll do all the file imposing on our end.

What can you produce for business cards that stand out?

We produce a many unique solutions for business cards; textured stocks, coloured stocks, double thick, foiling, corner rounding, lamination, et al. Let us know your thoughts on what you're after!

What colours do you have available for foiling?

We have many great colours available. Gold, rose gold, silver, blue, red, green purple & clear. If you would like a unique colour, we can look into it!

What is the typical size of a rack card?

Rack cards are usually 4”x9”. That size fits perfectly into slots that you would typically see at your popular tourist spots.
